Thiourea

Kegunaan thiourea is a white and shiny crystal, bitter taste, density 1.41, melting point 176 ~ 178℃, decomposition when hotter, soluble in water, soluble in ethanol when heated, very slightly soluble in ether.

Production method of kegunaan thiourea:

The preparation method is to react barium sulfide with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, and the hydrogen sulfide gas is absorbed by the negative pressure of the stone ash emulsion to obtain a solution of calcium hydrogen sulfide. It is then reacted with calcium cyanamide, and the molar ratio of calcium hydrogen sulfide to calcium cyanamide is 1:5. Under continuous stirring, the reaction temperature is (80 ± 5) ℃, and the reaction time is 3 hours. After negative pressure filtration, a thiourea liquid can be generated, which is then evaporated, filtered, cooled, and crystallized to obtain crystalline thiourea. The finished product is obtained by centrifugal dehydration and drying. The reaction equation is as follows: BaS+H2SO4 → BaSO4 ↓+H2S ↑

Kegunaan thiourea use:

Used in the manufacture of drugs, dyes, resins, molding powder, rubber vulcanization accelerator, metal mineral flotation agents and other raw materials.

Firefighting measures:

Harmful combustion products: nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide.

Fire extinguishing method: use water, foam, carbon dioxide and sand to extinguish the fire.

Leakage emergency response:

Emergency response: Isolate the contaminated area and restrict entry and exit. Cut off the fire source. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks (full face masks) and general work clothes. Do not come into direct contact with leaks.

Minor leakage: Collect with a clean shovel in a dry, clean, and covered container.

Large amount of leakage: collected and recycled or transported to waste disposal sites for disposal.
