Physical and chemical properties of thiourea 99: White or light yellow glossy flake, columnar or needle shaped crystals with a bitter taste. Soluble in water and ethanol, almost insoluble in ether.

Stability thiourea 99: Stable. Incompatible with strong acids, bases, oxidants, metal salts, proteins, and hydrocarbons. May react violently with acrolein.

Absorb hydrogen sulfide with lime milk under negative pressure and cooling to generate a calcium sulfide solution. The calcium sulfide reacts with calcium cyanamide to obtain a thiourea solution. After filtration, concentration, cooling, crystallization, and drying, pure thiourea is obtained.

Purpose of thiourea 99:

Analytical reagents. Used for the determination of bismuth, osmium, rhodium, selenium, lead, tellurium, nitrite, etc. Determine the complexation indicator of osmium.
