1. Instability and decomposition reactions
·Catalytic decomposition: The decomposition process is rapidly catalyzed by various substances, including:
·Heavy metal ions: such as Fe ² ⁺, Cu ² ⁺, Mn ² ⁺, etc. Even in trace amounts, it can quickly trigger violent decomposition and even explosion.
·Metal oxides: Manganese dioxide is one of the most famous examples, often used in laboratories for rapid preparation of oxygen.

1. Wound disinfection: 3% hydrogen peroxide solution is a commonly used disinfectant in households and hospitals. When applied to a wound, it quickly decomposes into a large number of oxygen bubbles when in contact with catalase in the blood. These bubbles can physically clean wounds, flush away dirt and necrotic tissue, while the strong oxidizing properties of new ecological oxygen can also kill anaerobic bacteria.
