500000 T/a PGA Project Enters The Implementation Stage

The total investment in the first phase of the 500000 t/a polyglycolic acid (PGA) project of Sinopec Guizhou Nenghua is about 11 billion yuan, and 200000 t/a polyglycolic acid will be built in 2024.

The 300000 t/a polyglycolic acid project of Guoneng Xinjiang Chemical Co., Ltd. has been approved with an investment of nearly 10 billion yuan. Guoneng Xinjiang Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Shenhua Coal to Liquid Chemical Co., Ltd.

On July 25, 2022, Hubei Hongrui New Material Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Shenghongneng Chemical New Material Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 1.5 million tons of acetic acid and other special chemicals, was approved. It is planned to build a 100000t/a PGA project in Hubei Yidu Chemical Industry Park. The project is planned to produce 100000 tons of PGA and PBAT, 300000 tons of BDO, etc.

The 150000 t/a PGA (polyglycolic acid) project of Chongqing Cabelle Chemical Co., Ltd. affiliated to Chongqing Chemical and Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. is planned to be completed in 2025.

Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. plans to build a production line with an annual output of 100000 tons of PGA products.

On June 22, 2022, Danzhou City, Hainan Province, held a discussion with Hainan National Energy Group Co., Ltd., and the two sides accelerated the planning and promotion of low-carbon industrial park, Hainan International Shipping Trade Center, PGA degradable materials and other projects.

On March 25, 2021, the kick-off meeting for the basic design of Hubei Chemical Fertilizer 50000 t/a polyglycolic acid new material project was held.

In December 2018, the first batch of Tongliao Gold Coal 3000 tons/year PGA products were put off the production line, and the production line of 300000 tons/year is planned in the future.
