Solid urea Purpose:
Urea is suitable for use as base fertilizer and topdressing, and sometimes also as seed fertilizer. Urea is in a molecular state before conversion and cannot be adsorbed by soil. It should be prevented from being lost with water; The ammonia formed after conversion is also prone to volatilization, so urea also needs to be deeply applied to the soil. A small portion of soil transformation is dissolved in the soil solution in molecular form and adsorbed by the soil through hydrogen bonding. The rest is hydrolyzed into ammonium carbonate under the action of urease, and then generates carbonic acid and ammonium hydroxide. Then, ammonium ions can be absorbed by plants and soil colloids, and bicarbonate ions can also be absorbed by plants. Therefore, urea does not leave any harmful components after being applied to the soil. In addition, the urea contained in urea can also be decomposed into ammonia and carbonic acid under the action of urease. The transformation of urea in the soil is affected by soil pH value, temperature, and moisture, and it is neutral in the soil. The higher the soil temperature when the moisture is appropriate, the faster the transformation; when the soil temperature is 10 ℃, urea is completely transformed into ammonium nitrogen. It takes 7-10 days, 4-5 days at 20 ℃, and 2-3 days at 30 ℃. After hydrolysis of urea, ammonium nitrogen is generated, and surface application can cause ammonia volatilization, especially in alkaline or alkaline soils. Therefore, when applying urea, it should be deeply covered with soil, and in paddy fields, it should be deeply applied to the reducing layer.
