Pure hydrogen peroxide is a light blue viscous liquid that can be mixed with water in any proportion and is a strong oxidant. It is generally stored in the form of a 30% or 60% aqueous solution, commonly known as hydrogen peroxide, and is suitable for medical wound disinfection, environmental disinfection, and food disinfection. However, hydrogen peroxide is also listed as a carcinogen by the World Health Organization.

 

Application of hydrogen peroxide:

Disinfection and sterilization:
Low concentration (3% -6%): Used for wound disinfection and medical device sterilization, achieving sterilization by destroying microbial cell membranes and proteins.
Food industry: Clean food packaging materials to inhibit bacterial growth.
Oral care;
Diluted for use in mouthwash or teeth whitening products, it can remove oral bacteria and minor tooth stains.
