Chemical formula: H ₂ O ₂, weakly acidic, easily decomposes into water and oxygen (2H ₂ O ₂ → 2H ₂ O+O ₂ ↑), decomposes under light and catalyzed by metal ions.
Physical properties: Melting point -0.43 ℃, boiling point 150.2 ℃, miscible with water, commercially available as 3% -30% aqueous solution.

 

Application of hydrogen peroxide:

sewage treatment
Decompose organic matter and toxic substances (such as cyanide) to generate harmless water and oxygen.
aquaculture
Oxygenation agent: After decomposition, it releases oxygen to alleviate the problem of oxygen deficiency in water bodies.
