Industrial grade citric acid is widely used in the food industry, mainly as sour agent, solvent, buffer, antioxidant, deodorant, flavor enhancer, gelling agent and toner. Here are some specific application examples:
Beverage and juice: it is used to adjust the sour taste of the beverage, enhance the flavor, improve the sugar-acid ratio of the beverage, so that the product can achieve a standardized taste.
Canned foods: Adding it to canned fruits and vegetables can maintain or improve flavor, increase acidity, reduce pH, inhibit microbial growth, and prevent swelling and destruction.
