Thiourea

Acidified thiourea is an important chemical raw material and organic chemical intermediate.

Acidified thiourea is a white and glossy crystal with a bitter taste, a density of 1.41, a melting point of 176-178 ℃. It decomposes at higher temperatures and is soluble in water. When heated, it is soluble in ethanol and very slightly soluble in ether. During melting, it partially undergoes isomerization to form ammonium thiocyanate.

Production:
