Product CharacteristicsChemical Properties:this product is a strong acid and its aqueous solution has a strong acidity equal to that of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids. It dissolves well in water and liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in ethanol and ether.
Physical Properties: White crystalline powder, tasteless and odourless, non-volatile, non-hygroscopic, melting point about 205°C. Safety: Sulfamic acid is irritating to skin and eyes, but the toxicity is low. Protection is required when using, avoid inhaling dust or direct contact with skin and eyes. MAIN USES Cleaners and descalers: this's powder is commonly used to remove scale, rust and other mineral deposits, and is widely used in household cleaning, industrial equipment cleaning and boiler descaling. Bleaching agent: In the textile industry, sulfamic acid is used as a bleaching agent to improve the whiteness and softness of fibres. pH regulator: Sulfamic acid is used to regulate pH in paper making, printing and dyeing, and chemical manufacturing. Flame retardant and fire retardant: sulfamic acid can decompose to produce ammonia and nitrogen when heated, which has flame retardant and fire retardant effects, and is widely used in fireproofing of wood and fabrics.
Dyestuff and pigment production: that is used in the manufacture of dyestuff, pigment and leather dyeing. Electroplating industry: the product is used in electroplating process to improve the quality and brightness of the plated layer. Oil mine treatment agent: Sulphamic acid is used as a treatment agent in oil mines for the acidification of oil mine sludge.
