Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) 70% is an anionic surfactant commonly used in personal care products and household detergents. Its chemical formula is C12H25O.(C2H4O)n.SO3.Na, where n represents the number of ethylene oxide units. It is produced through the ethoxylation of lauryl alcohol followed by sulfation and neutralization with sodium hydroxide. It acts as a foaming agent and emulsifier, providing excellent cleansing properties.To prepare SLES70%, first, mix sodium lauryl ether sulfate with water to reach a concentration of 70%. Stir the mixture thoroughly until uniform. Then, adjust the pH using a suitable acid or base. Finally, filter the solution to remove any impurities.
