Application
Sodium bicarbonate can quickly neutralize stomach acid and release a large amount of carbon dioxide. It is often used in combination with magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate, and certain traditional Chinese medicines to treat patients with excessive stomach acid and gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Improving indigestion:
The combination of it and pancreatic enzymes can increase therapeutic efficacy, as pancreatic enzymes are less active in acidic environments and may even be decomposed and inactivated. it can increase the pH value in the stomach and duodenum, prevent pancreatic enzyme inactivation, and enhance the efficacy of oral pancreatic enzymes.
