MAGNESIUM SULPHATE

Granular Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4) is a compound with the chemical formula MgSO4, often referred to as a lagoon salt (Epsom salt) because it was first discovered in a spring in Epsom, England. This compound is an inorganic salt that has a wide range of applications in various fields such as medicine and agriculture.

That is a white crystalline substance that exists in several hydrated forms. The most common form is magnesium sulphate heptahydrate, denoted as MgSO4-7H2O. it is highly soluble in water and its solution is neutral with a pH of about 7. Granular magnesium sulphate is used as a fertiliser in agriculture to provide plants with the required magnesium and sulphur elements. It dissolves slowly in water and is suitable for soil application on a wide range of horticultural and field crops. Granular magnesium sulphate is not suitable for drip irrigation or foliar application.
