Acetic Anhydride is classified as corrosive and flammable liquid dangerous goods (UN 1715) in IMDG international maritime rules, with strict requirements on packaging, storage, container stowage and dangerous goods declaration. Standardized logistics operation is critical to ensure safe transportation and smooth customs clearance.

For export packaging, bulk Acetic Anhydride adopts 200L sealed galvanized steel drums with inner anti-corrosion coating. Fully sealed drum design prevents contact between liquid chemical and external moisture, avoiding exothermic hydrolysis reaction. Each drum is labeled with complete corrosion hazard marks and product specification information for global port inspection.

Warehouse storage of Acetic Anhydride requires cool, dry and ventilated indoor environment, away from heat sources, open fire, water and acidic/alkaline chemicals. Mixed storage with oxidants, alcohols and water-based materials is strictly prohibited to prevent violent chemical reactions and safety accidents.

During ocean shipment, Acetic Anhydride must be stowed separately from food chemicals and oxidizing goods following IMDG segregation rules. Professional dangerous goods container cabin is required, and ordinary general container shipment is not allowed. Operators must wear acid-resistant protective clothing, goggles and gloves during loading and unloading.

Exporters need to prepare complete dangerous goods declaration, MSDS, COA and transportation safety report before shipment. Following full compliance logistics rules can reduce customs clearance risks and ensure intact and safe delivery of Acetic Anhydride to overseas destination ports.
