ZINC HEPTA

Zinc sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula ZnSO4, colourless or white crystals, granules or powder.
Zinc sulfate is mainly used as a raw material for the production of pigment Lide powder, zinc barium white and other zinc compounds, and is also used as a nutrient for zinc-deficient animals, a feed additive for animal husbandry, a zinc fertilizer (trace element fertilizer) for crops, an important material for man-made fibres, an electrolyte for electrolytic production of zinc metal, a mordant in the textile industry, an emetic in the pharmaceutical industry, an astringent, a fungicide, and an antiseptic in the timber and leather industry, and so on.

Chemical formula is ZnSO4, colourless or white crystal, granule or powder, no smell. Melting point is 100℃, astringent taste. Density is 1.957g/cm3(25℃). Soluble in water, aqueous solution is acidic, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol.
Zinc oxide will be added to dilute sulfuric acid solution into a slurry, until the reaction is complete, after filtration, add zinc powder to replace copper, cadmium, nickel, etc., filtration, filtrate heating, add potassium permanganate, iron, manganese, and other impurities oxidation, filtration, clarification, concentration, cooling crystals, centrifugal separation, and drying of the system. It can also be produced by leaching roasted zinc ore powder with sulphuric acid. Zinc sulfate monohydrate ZnSO4-H2O heated to 280 ℃ so that it can be completely dehydrated to generate anhydrous zinc sulfate. Can also be used as a starting material for zinc sulfate heptahydrate ZnSO4-7H2O, first slowly heated at a lower temperature, so that it is gradually dehydrated to monohydrate, and then raise the temperature to about 280 ℃.
