TRISODIUM PHOSPHATE
Trisodium phosphate (Na₃PO₄) is usually prepared by reacting phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) with sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The specific steps are:
Preparation of reactants: Dissolve concentrated phosphoric acid in water and prepare sodium hydroxide solution.
Reaction: The sodium hydroxide solution is slowly added to the phosphoric acid solution, keeping the pH of the solution in the alkaline region (about 12-13).
Crystallization: After the reaction is complete, trisodium phosphate is formed. By evaporating the water or cooling the solution, trisodium phosphate is crystallized.
Separation and drying: trisodium phosphate is separated from the solution by filtration and subsequently dried to obtain the final product.

Tri-sodium phosphate can be prepared by: First, sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) are mixed in proper proportions. The sodium hydroxide is dissolved in water to form a sodium hydroxide solution, and then the phosphoric acid is added to the sodium hydroxide solution drop by drop, stirring the reaction until the pH value is stable in the neutral to alkaline range. After the reaction, the addition of excess sodium hydroxide ensures the formation of trisodium phosphate.
