Application

Treatment of metabolic acidosis:
NaHCO3 is used to treat mild to moderate metabolic acidosis, and oral administration is recommended. For severe metabolic acidosis, intravenous drip should be used, such as severe kidney disease, circulatory failure, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, extracorporeal circulation, severe primary lactic acidosis, diabetes ketoacidosis, etc.
Alkaline urine:
Used for the prevention of uric acid induced kidney stones, reducing the nephrotoxicity of sulfonamide drugs, and preventing acute hemolysis to prevent hemoglobin deposition in renal tubules.
As an acid making medicine:
NaHCO3 is used to treat symptoms caused by excessive stomach acid.
Treatment of drug poisoning:
Intravenous infusion has non-specific therapeutic effects on certain drug poisoning, such as barbiturates, salicylic acid drugs, and methanol poisoning.
Kidney disease and uremia:
Once acidosis occurs in such patients, due to the inability of the kidneys to compensate, immediate dialysis treatment is required.
Methanol and ethanol poisoning:
NaHCO3 is also used for the treatment of methanol and ethanol poisoning.
Cancer treatment:
Some studies have prepared NaHCO3 nanoparticles through the micro lotion method. Using the weak alkali characteristics of the material itself, it neutralizes the excessive lactic acid in the tumor microenvironment, effectively alleviates the tumor microenvironment with immunosuppression, and realizes efficient cancer immunotherapy.
