Not easy to volatilize, not easy to decompose, almost no oxidation.With the commonness of acid, it is a ternary weak acid, and its acidity is weaker than hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, but stronger than acetic acid, boric acid, etc.It is obtained by dissolving phosphorus pentoxide in hot water.
Phosphoric acid is an oxygen-containing acid of pentavalent phosphorus, but it is non oxidizing. Pure phosphoric acid is a colorless orthorhombic crystal at room temperature, containing 72.4% phosphorus pentoxide, with a density of 1.8741 (25 ℃), a melting point of 42.35 ℃, and a boiling point of 213 ℃ (losing 1/2H2O). It is easily hygroscopic in air. The product phosphoric acid is a colorless, transparent, viscous liquid with an acidic taste. 85% phosphoric acid has a specific gravity of 1.6850 (25 ℃) and is soluble in water and ethanol.
