MAGNESIUM OXIDE

The reactivity of MgO depends on calcination temperature: Light-burned (500-700°C) offers high surface area (50-150 m²/g) for acid gas adsorption, while dead-burned (>1,500°C) yields dense crystals for refractories. Our proprietary process controls pore size (5-200nm) to optimize applications-nanoporous it captures CO₂ 3x more efficiently than conventional grades. This tunability bridges gap between quicklime's reactivity and alumina's stability.

Magnesium oxide is a cost-effective solution for flue gas desulfurization (FGD) in power plants, neutralizing SO₂ emissions with 95%+ efficiency. Unlike limestone, it generates recyclable byproducts (MgSO₄) instead of waste sludge. Our high-reactivity it (92-96% purity) also treats acidic wastewater, precipitating heavy metals (Pb, Cd) at pH 9-10.
