Hydrazine hydrate, a colorless, fuming liquid with an ammonia-like odor, exhibits both physical and chemical properties. Physically, it is highly soluble in water and polar solvents, and boils at 113.5°C with a freezing point of 1.5°C. It is a strong reducing agent, readily oxidizing to nitrogen gas and water. Chemically, it undergoes reactions typical of amines, forming salts and complexes with various acids and metals. It reacts violently with oxidizers, releasing toxic gases. Hydrazine hydrate finds use in rocket fuels, pharmaceuticals, and as a reducing agent in chemical synthesis.

Application：

1.Hydrazine derivatives used as pesticides include plant growth regulators such as malonyl hydrazine derivatives, rodenticides like dinitrophenylhydrazine, insecticidal pyrazole derivatives, and 5-nitrofuranthiosemicarbazide, as well as herbicides like aminotriazole.

2.Approximately 30% of hydrazine (including hydrazine hydrate and hydrazine sulfate) is used for dyes and foaming agents, while around 10% is used for anesthesia.

3.They are also employed in the synthesis of developers, anti-itch agents, and reducing agents.
