Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrategenerally comes in two varieties.Ammonium orthomolybdate: Chemical formula (NH4)2MoO4.Molecular weight 196.01.It exists only in a solution containing excess ammonia, and is prepared from molybdenum trioxide dissolved in excess ammonia water.Ammonium paramolybdate (solids generally exist in this form) :Chemical formula (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O, molecular weight 1235.85, no Chemicalbook color large particle monoclinic crystal, specific gravity 2.27, placed in the air will lose part of ammonia, heated to 170℃ decomposition into ammonia and molybdenum trioxide, insoluble in ethanol, acetone, soluble in water, strong acid and strong base solution,It is prepared by evaporation of concentrated ammonium molybdate solution.Used as analytical reagent, pigment, dehydrogenation catalyst, also used in petroleum and coking industry desulfurization and manufacturing molybdenum powder.

Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate Purpose:

Used as a black passivation solution for galvanized layers, as a stabilizer in electroless nickel plating, and as an oxidant in steel phosphating solutions.

Collect with a clean shovel in a dry, clean, covered container and transfer to a safe location. If there is a large amount of leakage, collect and recycle it or transport it to a waste disposal site for disposal.
