Performance and application

Lignosulfonic acid, also known as sulfonated lignin. By-product of wood pulp and paper making. Yellowish brown solid with good diffusivity. A linear polymer compound. However, in the paper industry, lignosulfonic acid is usually found in the form of lignosulfonates. Soluble in aqueous solutions of various pH values, insoluble in organic solvents. It can be used in the manufacture of vanillin, replacing 50% phenol in the condensation of formaldehyde to synthesize plastic products. Usually by the sulfite wood pulp waste liquid, after processing and concentration, with lime, calcium chloride, alkaline lead acetate and other precipitants to separate the lignosulfonate crude products. Then according to the need to add acid dissolution, filtration and calcium removal, alkali conversion to sodium salt, and finally evaporation and drying of refined products. Sodium lignosulfonate is a kind of anionic surfactant, which is an excellent dispersant for solids in aqueous medium. It is widely used as dispersant (such as dispersant M-9) and wetting agent in industry, such as oil drilling mud dispersant, concrete water reducing agent, gypsum board production auxiliary, pesticide auxiliary, printing and dyeing diffusion agent, rubber abrasion resistance agent and so on.
